The pre-school children have recently taken a keen interest in Dinosaurs. To follow the children's interest's we took part in a dinosaur activity.
The children mixed salt, flour and water to create some salt dough. Each child used their hands and the tools available to roll and mould the salt dough to make 'Dinosaur Bones'.
The children were all very excited to make these Dinosaur bones and were very keen to talk about what they were making as they made them. The children then took it in turns to bury these bones in our nursery's digging area and with a group of friends used the digging equipment to find the 'buried bones'. The children then had lots of fun making various arrangements with the different shaped and sized bones we had made and found..... it was lots of fun!!
