World Maths Day

We had great fun at world maths day with so many wonderful maths activities. Here are some pictures and videos from our day. We baked cakes and Amy spoke to the children about measurements and time and then they used the numicon to cut the dough. We poured to fill containers in the water area. We directed the bee bot and spoke about which way it was going and how many instructions we needed to give it.  We built tall towers and long enclosures in the construction area. Some of the children came with us to the fruit shop, on the way we encouraged the children to point out shapes and numbers in the environment. When at the shop the children chose one piece of fruit and took it to the till to pay for it, they enjoyed handling money and eating their fruit.  Hope you all got your home activity sheet we are looking forward to seeing some pictures!
